What makes us different is our ability to keep your cells the same.
At Hope Biosciences, all of the stem cell treatments under development are based on our core stem cell culture and banking technology.
Our research started with a simple premise
Our bodies contain billions of stem cells that are responsible for repairing us, regulating our immune system, maintaining our body’s natural regenerative* function and even promoting circulation. Found in almost every tissue of our bodies, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)* are widely recognized as having the highest regenerative capacity.

Why Mesenchymal Stem Cells?
Anti-bacterial : MSCs have natural antimicrobial properties
Regulates immune system : Directly impact inflammation in the body and the mechanism of healing
Self-regenerating : MSCs can regenerate into new stem cells
Angiogenic : MSCs form blood vessels thus increasing blood flow. A critical stem for healing.
Prevents cell death : MSCs have naturally anti-apoptotic properties.
Pluripotent* : They have the ability to become practically every cell type in the body with exception to blood cells.
Ethically sourced : They can be found in almost every tissue of the body and can easily be harvested from adults and children.
The main reason why chronic degenerative diseases affect us later in life is simply because we lose stem cells as we age and therefore cannot regenerate as fast as we degenerate. Hope Biosciences was formed to find a solution to this problem.
Could there be a way to effectively replace the regenerative stem cells that we've lost over time?
We found the solution by overcoming three major hurdles.
Finding a Cell Source
First, we had to find a source of mesenchymal stem cells that met our criteria:
1) Safe
2) ethical*
3) consistent*
4) easy to obtain
Fat tissue met all our requirements. To avoid rejection and ethical concerns, we chose to use one’s own fat. We also found that regardless of age or condition, we could successfully find consistent quantities of mesenchymal stem cells in fat. Our process requires only one tablespoon of fat thereby making the process easy and virtually painless for any patient to undergo.
Producing the Right Quantity
Just as medication is dependent on dose, stem cell therapy is as well. You need access to adequate quantities in order to make a difference.
Hope Biosciences’ core technology is the ability to make accurate copies of your own stem cells to unprecedented quantities. We start with one tablespoon of fat or approximately 100,000 mesenchymal stem cells and can culture (grow) these cells in a way that not only generates high amounts; but, maintains their original characteristics such as identity, purity, genetic stability, potency*, differentiation capacity and phenotype*
In a nutshell, we have the ability to generate unlimited quantities of your stem cells that are the same as those we took from your body.
Creating an Endless Supply
To effectively treat a disease, not only is the appropriate dose required but often times, the treatment needs to be repeated until resolved. This is by far the greatest hurdle in the field of regenerative medicine.
Hope Biosciences has overcome this hurdle by standardizing a process by which only 1 tablespoon of fat is required to generate virtually unlimited quantities of cells at unlimited doses*. The same applies to newborn babies. A small sample of the amniotic membrane* of the placenta* is all that is needed to generate all the stem cells they would ever need in their lifetime*.
* Based on a calculation of frequent therapies in an avg. lifetime
Terminology Notes
Amniotic membrane
The innermost layer of the placenta that surrounds and protects the developing fetus and has regenerative properties
Consistent
Always behaving or performing in the same way, or producing the same results
Ethical
moral values that guide individuals in determining what is right and wrong
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)
Stem cells that can be found in almost every tissue of the body and can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including bone, cartilage, and fat cells, and have potential therapeutic uses
Phenotype
The observable characteristics or traits of an organism, determined by its genetic makeup and environmental factors
Placenta
An organ that develops in the uterus during pregnancy and serves to nourish and protect the developing fetus
Pluripotent
Referring to stem cells that have the ability to differentiate into any cell type in the body
Potency
The ability of a cell or substance to produce a desired effect or response
Regenerative
Capable of repairing damaged tissues or organs

About the Hope Biosciences Research Foundation
Hope Biosciences Research Foundation (HBRF) is on a mission to unlock the potential of regenerative medicine, bringing new hope to patients by dramatically accelerating research. A non-profit 501 (c)3 organization headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas (Houston area) and founded in 2020, we work primarily with chronic conditions, many of which our patients have been told are “incurable.” HBRF is closing gaps in research and care by not only facilitating healing for patients but developing sustainable solutions with the potential to right our currently crippled healthcare system.
